Mark Laraghy

Company Director
Mark established Australian Splash Down in 1997.
He has led tours and camps for Asian, American, European and Australian groups and has directed over 100 camps for sizes up to 350. These camps include music, holiday, school study, schoolies, training, bush, work experience camps and international tours.
Mark has worked with schools from Asia to develop functional language tours. These tours aim to develop student's language skills through immersing them in practical situations requiring practical English use.
Mark has worked in and with schools since 1983 as a boarding master, teacher and year co-ordinator. He has developed and implemented training programs for camp leaders and has developed camping projects throughout the South Pacific.
Mark was employed by SU (largest camping organisation in Qld) to develop camping in south west Brisbane. He has lectured in "Language and Literacy Education" to Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary) students and "Language Foundations" to Bachelor of Education students at Queensland University of Technology. He has also been a trainer/teacher in "Introduction to Literacy" Module as part of the National Literacy Enhancement Program through DEET and the Australian Catholic University.
Mark is currently managing the international program at Whites Hill State College in Brisbane.....

Yvonne Laraghy

Director & Educational Consultant Manager
Yvonne established Australian Splash Down in 1998 and continues to oversee the Company's work. She is also currently completing a counselling qualification.
As a past teacher, Yvonne understands the needs of teachers and has developed the "teacher friendly" Brisbane Explorer Tour. She monitors the tours to ensure quality educational outcomes for students.
Yvonne has led tours for European, Asian and Australian groups. She has directed or co-directed over 30 camps

Nerilee Sowter
Field Director
Nerilee has worked with the Australian Splash Down group since 1999, directing our AusAID PNG camps, being a tour guide for school groups from the USA, Japan and China and leading our leadership programs for schools from around Queensland.
Nerilee also trains and has led overseas mission teams with Youth With A Mission (YWAM).

Brian Johnson
Field Director
Bryan has worked with the Australian Splash Down group since 1998. A former forest ranger, Bryan is particularly of value with groups wanting to "go bush".
Bryan has directed our AusAID PNG camps, led tour groups from various areas of South East Asia and also lead numerous of our school leadership programs. Bryan has also been the Site Development Manager at YWAM Brisbane.

Lisa Johnson
Field Director
Lisa has worked with the Australian Splash Down group since 1998. She has directed our AusAID PNG camps, led tour groups from around south east Asia and been involved with the administration and homestay organiasation for many of our groups.
Lisa also trains and has led overseas mission teams with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). An administrator with YWAM, Brisbane, Australia . . .

Alyson Campbell
Tour Consultant
Al will put your tour together.
Having worked with the Australian Splash Down group since 1999, Alyson works in coordinating the administration for our tours and camps.
Alyson has coordinated camps for over 800 and has been a past president of the Parents and Friends Association at Redlands College, Queensland, Australia. As well as organising our tours and events, Alyson also manages the Second Seen (opportunity shop) at the Gateway Centre.
